Details:Night in Paris ("La nuit à Paris") As he always did for special exhibitions, the french gallery owner and publisher, Aimé Maeght, issued his legendary art publication “Derriere le mirroir” in 1954. This one was No. 66- 67-68, which is now the most wanted issue. In a run of only 2,500 copies, nine splendid colour lithographs by Chagall on the subject of "Paris" were published. These original lithographs were printed at Mourlot's like most of Chagall's lithographs. Today, they are a rarity. "La nuit a Paris" was used for the cover of the issue. However, the caption can be hidden easily behind a mat if this is desired (for collectors of Chagall's original graphics, however, they are an important characteristic for the authenticity of the graphic).
