With 2 (of originally 3 including one for the cover) original etchings with aquatint in colors by Joan Miro. Signed in pencil by the author André Frénaud and numbered on the justification. Text in French, illustrated with 4 vignettes by Miro. Starting in 1946, the editor Maeght in Paris has published some of the most beautiful illustrated artist's books in small limited editions, called "Grandes éditiones originales illustrées". From time to time one of them can be seen during art auctions of renowned auction houses. The complete box with 3 etchings was sold last in 2000 at Christie's in New York for $5,000.
